There are several ways to navigate around the map. Most commonly you can use the navigation arrows and slider bar on the top left side of the page. The navigation arrows allow you to pan left, right, up, and down. The slider allows you to zoom in and out. Click and drag the mouse to pan around.
Some other ways to navigate:

There are currently 10 different Map Layers that can be used in this application. To change the map layer, click the appropriate radio button from the options on the bottom right of the map.
Information about each map layer is displayed on the bottom left of the page. Depending on which map layer is selected, corresponding information on the selected map will be displayed. There is also a 'More info...' hyperlink which when clicked opens another page with further information on each map.
The 'Reset Map' button is located on the top right of the page. This button resets the currently displayed map back to the default extent and clears any highlighted townlands on the map.
The 'Search For Address' option allows you to type in an address and view the location of the address on the map. Type in all or part of an address and press Enter or click the 'Search' button. The result(s) for this search will be displayed in the grid. Select one of the results by clicking it and the map will then navigate to the address selected.
The 'Search For Townland' option allows you to type in a townland and view the location of the townland on the map. Type in all or part of a townland and press Enter or click the 'Search' button. The result(s) for this search will be displayed in the grid. Select one of the results and the map will then navigate to the townland selected.
